Discover the beauty of Šerlich and its surroundings through great cycling and hiking trails that will take you to picturesque forests, along mountain streams and to historical monuments.
The cycling trail, which starts on Šerlich Hill and runs almost entirely downhill, passes directly through our village. A cycle bus that runs four times a weekend will comfortably take you and your bike to the top. If you don't have your own bike, don't despair! You can easily rent a bike in the sports area.
Not far from our property is also the popular hiking trail "Through the Bublačka Valley". This picturesque trail runs along the Bublačka mountain stream and passes through a three-kilometer section of 80-year-old mixed forest. The trail ends at an iron riveted bridge with the interesting name Kraví skok, which leads over the Pastvinská dam. From here it is only a short distance to the picturesque village of Pastviny, where you will find several restaurants, boat rentals and a swimming beach.
At the other end of this trail lies the ancient settlement of Čihák, where you can admire the stone bridge over the Divoká Orlica, which forms the state border with Poland. Not far from here is the Orlická chata with a rich menu and an interesting history. During World War II, members of the Hitler Youth trained here, which led to the local nickname of the cottage “Kinderheim”.
Another interesting hiking trail leads from the Zemská brána, which is approximately 4 km long and follows the flow of the Divoká Orlica to Klášterec nad Orlicí. From Klášterec nad Orlicí, you can return through the Bublačka valley back to České Petrovice, or use the bus, which will comfortably transport you along the winding road back to your accommodation.
Come and explore these beautiful trails, which offer not only beautiful nature, but also a piece of interesting history.
